USER RESEARCH | INTERACTION DESIGN | BRANDING
In the fall of 2022, before beginning my Master’s Degree at RISD for Industrial & Product Design, I worked at a Berkeley Skydeck Startup called BreakFree as a User Experience Designer.
Through the three-month work period, I learned how daily interactions could be applied in the UX design process, developed my skills in breaking down complex problems by analyzing pain points, opportunities and processes, practiced user research and user testing skills in design sprints, as well as gained experience with utilizing the Agile Method approach in managing product development.
What is the BreakFree App?
Set personal daily limits to reduce your phone usage time, and find a balance for other important activities in your life! BreakFree is the only app that also correlates your cell phone usage data with activity data and location.
MID FIDELITY REDESIGN
To determine the best logistical approach for redesigning Break Free, I undertook a mid-fidelity redesign. This involved creating a prototype with moderate levels of detail and functionality, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of the design direction.
HIGH FIDELITY
The slides presented below provide an overview of the extensive research and construction process involved in developing the first induction charged heated jacket.
