Asymmetrical Anxiety Chair

As a designer, I've always been intrigued by Japanese design and its ability to create innovative and minimalist products. With this inspiration in mind, I created a functional chair that embodies these principles.
The chair features a unique structure composed of 1.25-inch steel square tubes and a 3/8-inch steel bar, which I welded into evenly drilled holes to create the seat and backrest. This combination of materials and construction techniques provides the chair with strength and durability while maintaining a modern aesthetic.

What sets this chair apart is the sense of unease and anxiety it instills in the viewer. By deliberately creating an asymmetrical design, I wanted to challenge people's assumptions about what a chair should be and encourage them to think before taking a seat. I call this design "ASYMMETRIC ANXIETY.”
